Short Course FAQs

General Information

What if I haven’t received my confirmation email?

Please contact the office if you haven’t received your confirmation email within 7 days of registration and payment.

I purchased vouchers. Can they be extended if I don’t use them within 12 months?

Vouchers and pre-purchased tickets are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, and cannot be extended. Should there be no more In-Person courses you want to attend, you can redeem your voucher for access to an Online course, providing this is done within the 12-month timeframe applicable. Any unused vouchers remaining after the completion of the final short course of the year will be forfeited.

How do I cancel my ticket, and do I get a refund?

Cancellations must be provided in writing, so please email the office at events@momentummanagement.com.au. Cancellations will not be accepted less than 14 days prior to the date of the short course, and no refund will be payable after this time. Tickets may, however, be transferred to another Momentum Short Course. Cancellations received up to 14 days prior to the seminar will be accepted and refunded, less and administration fee of $50.

Can last minute staff changes be made to our attendance list?

We need to be notified a minimum of 7 working days before the event of any attendee change to be able to provide individualized name tags and certificates, and to add or amend any dietary requirements.

In-Person Courses

When will I know where the course will be held?

Momentum will begin emailing all registered participants the relevant details approximately one month before the scheduled date of the course.

How long does the course go for?

Training begins at 9am, with scheduled breaks for morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, and finishes at 5pm.

What do I need to bring?

Pen and paper is provided, along with water on the tables, and tea and coffee. Please feel free to bring any drinks or snacks you may like.
You may also wish to bring a jumper or to dress in layers as room temperatures can vary between tropic and arctic!

What if I’m running late on the day?

Please call the office on 1300 519 000 to let us know, and we will pass the message on to the trainer/s.

Can I get information on getting to the venue by public transport?

The confirmation and preparation emails sent to participants will let you know of the nearest train station/s, and how long it takes to walk to the venue from them.

I’m driving to the venue. Will there be parking available?

Wherever possible, Momentum will arrange discounted parking rates with or near the venue. The information on this will be provided in the confirmation and preparation emails sent out. If discounted parking is not available, we will provide information on the closest parking structure.

What if I have dietary requirements?

Momentum will liaise with the venue for you, we just need to be advised no later than 7 working days prior to the event of your requirements. As we run these courses in different venues across Australia, we are only able to allow for the following provisions:

  • Vegetarian
  • Vegan
  • Peanut Free
  • Gluten Free
  • Religious Requirements
  • Dairy Free

We cannot guarantee that there are no traces of other food items in the meals provided, and as such we recommend that any attendee with a significant allergy or other health related issue bring along their own provision for lunch. Momentum will arrange for the venue to store, refrigerate or heat these meals if required. Please let us know if you need this service when providing your or your teams dietary requirements.

Can someone else take my place at the last minute?

Yes, last minute changes can be made, but please note that any dietary requirements cannot be added or changed without 7 working days’ notice. Certificates are printed ahead of time, so if someone takes your place and needs a correct certificate for CPD points, please ensure you contact us after the event so we can arrange it for you.

Should I bring my laptop or tablet?

Yes, please bring along a computer, as the course is interactive and we provide participants with access to our online learning platform. We ask that there be one device per person.

Please note, you do not need to bring a laptop or computer to the Practice Manager’s course.

LIVE Online Courses

How long does the LIVE Online course go for?

This is a full-day course, as it is interactive with the trainer and participants. These start at 9am, and usually conclude by 4:30-5pm.

Are there breaks scheduled?

Due to the nature of the course being online, there are many breaks scheduled throughout the day to help you stay focused, check your emails, and do small tasks.

Can more than one person attend LIVE online?

It is one person per computer only for the LIVE online courses.

Can I watch it again?

No. This is a live event and is not being recorded to avoid confidentiality issues for participants, their practices and patients.

Online All Year Courses

How do they work?

All you need is a computer or tablet with internet access and speakers. These courses can be viewed at any time, can be watched repeatedly, and can be split into sections for team meetings or groups. The choice is yours!

Can I buy these as one per practice?

Yes! Online, pre-recorded courses are great to share within a practice.

How long do I have access to the recording?

Momentum provide 30 days access to the pre-recorded online courses, starting from the date you receive your confirmation and access email.
